Tennis star dons incredibly outlandish t-shirt with pictures of QUEEN across it to win over British crowd at ATP Finals

ONE tennis star took a novel approach to trying to win over the British crowd at the ATP Finals – by wearing a Queen-themed t-shirt!

Doubles player Jean-Julien Rojer donned the outlandish top during his second group-stage match at the season-ending tournament at London’s O2 Arena.

Jean-Julien Rojer pulled off the sensational look with his Queen-theme t-shirt at the O2 Arena

The garish outfit featured a collection of pictures of a young Queen Elizabeth II – strangely all in different colours.

Rojer’s ambitious tactic clearly worked, though, as he and partner Horia Tecau kept their title chances alive.

The Dutch-Romanian duo – seeded sixth – toppled Colombian top seeds Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-2 5-7 10-8.

And asked about his unique clobber, Rojer pulled on the heartstrings of the patriot British public.

He said: “This is a little something for the home crowd here.

“We love coming to London.

“It’s obviously one of our favourite cities.

“We have won Wimbledon and this tournament before.

“This is something for the home crowd here.

“God save the queen, right?!”
