He was helped by the staff

It comes just weeks after Wu, 23, collapsed while competing at Wimbledon.

Footage showed the moment the Chinese ace collapsed as he approached his chair.

After his fall he was helped by the staff on the court as he was checked out.

Wu had to retire from the tennis match which means that Watanuk, 25, will proceed to the next round.

And fans were concerned for his health after seeing the moment and taking to social media.

One Tweeted: “Terrifying! It’s hot out there, but DC summer can get even worse. I hope the players stay safe this week.”

A second commented: “Omg
?, our heart goes out to him
♥.”

A third wrote: “That’s quite distressing to see. Wish Yibing well.”

A fourth said: “That was scary, prayers up for him.”

While a fifth added: “So scary and just hope he has a speedy recovery.”

During his Wimbledon clash against Frances Tiafoe, Wu appeared to collapse after suffering from breathing problems.

He was checked out by medics saw that his heart rate was an alarming 187, which appeared to be a known issue to Wu.

Wu was deemed to be fine as he came back out to Court 3 to continue the Wimbledon first-round clash.

He did go on to lose the match on straight sets and it was later claimed that he had been suffering from indigestion.
