Mirra Andreeva is a Russian professional tennis player.

She has a career-high singles ranking by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) of No. 102.

In 2023, Andreeva made her WTA 1000 debut as a wildcard in Madrid and and defeated 2021 US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez.

Andreeva later made her Grand Slam debut at the French Open, where she lost to seventh seed Coco Gauff in the third round.

Andreeva, who is making waves in the world of tennis, also made her main draw debut at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships in July.

Her sister Erika Andreeva is also a professional tennis player.

But despite her success, Andreeva isn’t immune from being star-struck – particularly when it comes to sporting sensation Andy Murray.

In July 2023, Andreeva revealed that she met Murray at Wimbledon – but was too shy to speak to him.

She said: ”I met Andy Murray here. But I’m too shy to talk to him.

”When I see him, I try to leave the facility super quick just to not talk to him because I’m super shy.”

Andreeva also previously revealed that one of the benefits of playing at such huge events is that she gets to spend time with some of her idols.

Asked what is her favourite thing about competing at the Madrid Open, Andreeva told the Tennis Channel: ”When you’re here & take a lunch with all these stars, you see Andy Murray… you see his face & he’s so beautiful in life. He is so amazing.”

Responding to the comments, Murray shared a clip of her interview and joked: ”Imagine how good she’s going to be when she gets her eyes fixed.”

Where did Mirra Andreeva train?

In 2022, Andreeva moved to Cannes to train at the Elite Tennis Center under coaches Jean-René Lisnard and Jean-Christophe Faurel.

Her sister Erika also made the move.

Prior to this, the Andreeva sisters trained in Sochi, Russia.
