Wimbledon Finalist David Nalbandian Faces Lawsuit for Sexual Harassment and Stalking

David Nalbandian, the former Wimbledon finalist, is being sued by his ex-girlfriend, Araceli Torrado, for sexual harassment and stalking. Torrado claims that Nalbandian installed hidden cameras in the air conditioning of their shared apartment.

Hidden Cameras Discovered

Torrado presented a video as evidence, showing the moment she found a hidden camera in her apartment. The judge ruled that the camera was indeed installed by Nalbandian, but since they shared the apartment, it was not considered a crime.

Lawsuit for Harassment and Stalking

Despite the judge's ruling, Torrado is now suing Nalbandian for sexual harassment and stalking. She has filed a criminal case and corresponding civil legal proceedings.

Nalbandian's Admission

Nalbandian has admitted to installing the camera but claims that he did it in an attempt to reconcile with Torrado. He expressed his desire for them to get back together and stated that he was never able to watch any footage from the camera.

Career of David Nalbandian

Nalbandian, who achieved a career-high ranking of World No3, reached the Wimbledon final in 2002, where he lost to Lleyton Hewitt. He also had successful runs in other Grand Slam tournaments, including the French Open, Australian Open, and US Open. After retiring from professional tennis in 2013, Nalbandian pursued rally driving and currently serves as the coach for Serbian player Miomir Kecmanovic.

Torrado's lawsuit against Nalbandian highlights the serious allegations of sexual harassment and stalking. The legal proceedings will determine the outcome of this case.
