Watch Neil Warnock whip out pre-signed photograph from bum bag for young fan after Middlesbrough pre-season friendly

NEIL WARNOCK went viral last night as the renowned no-nonsense Middlesbrough boss left one lucky fan ‘over the moon’.

The 72-year-old, who lives near Stoke Climsland, Cornwall, is currently in the South West on a pre-season tour in Devon with his Championship squad.

The Boro boss handed over a pre-signed photo of himself

Last night Boro travelled to local non-league outfit Tavistock AFC for their latest friendly.

But it was Warnock’s heart-warming gesture after his team’s 7-0 victory that got Twitter talking.

A clip was posted after the game of Warnock reaching into a bum bag near the touchline while talking to spectators.

He then pulled out a signed photo of himself before handing over the gift to a young girl.

The child’s father Lee Hall shared the footage online, captioning it: “What a lovely touch.

“Thank you Neil, my daughter is over the moon.”

The video soon went viral and another person then shared their own recent encounter with the record-breaking manager.

Posting a photo of two people posing alongside Warnock giving the thumbs up, they wrote: “Love him we were in Cornwall a month ago just happened to bump into him and Mrs W in looe ! Stood and chatted for ages & both were just lovely !”

Fans loved the fact that Warnock carries snaps of himself around in a bum bag as he was rightly roundly-praised for his kind act.

And former Boro star Yannick Bolasie also joined in, tweeting: “What a guy! #Gaffer, last of a dying breed.”

Warnock made EFL history last season by winning a record 11th Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award.

He was already one ahead of Chris Hughton in the all-time standings before scooping another for his collection after an unbeaten October.

Warnock took charge at The Riverside in June 2020 and guided the club to safety by winning four of his eight games at the helm last term following Project Restart.

The ex-Cardiff City and Sheffield United boss, now the oldest manager in England after Roy Hodgson left Crystal Palace, recently penned a new one-year deal at Boro after they missed out on the play-offs last term.

He is now chasing a record ninth promotion as manager and celebrated becoming just the seventh man to take charge of 1,5000 matches in Britain last Autumn.
