Racing League standings: Hayley Turner usurps Saffie Osborne to top jockey and team tables

HAYLEY TURNER surged to the top of the jockey AND team standings in the Racing League after week four at Windsor.

But it’s Team ThoroughBid who lead the chase for the overall prize, who took over Saffie Osborne’s Team Swish.

Turner has been in sensational form and leads the Racing League individual and team standings

Turner – who recently saved a rival from serious injury – showed she is the jockey to be on side with in team competitions as she displaced Osborne at the top of the jockey table.

Beaten just two-and-a-half lengths into sixth on Kool Moe Dee in the first on Thursday night, she reeled off a 9-1 win on Quickstep Lady in the next.

A series of clutch finishes followed to put Turner top by 20 points on 184, with Jack Mitchell second on 164 and Osborne third on 157.

Goat Racing’s Louis Steward, top jockey on the night at Windsor with 69 points, sits fourth overall on 153.

Team ThoroughBid, led by Turner, Oisin Murphy, Sean Levey and reserve David Probert are sitting pretty at the top of the overall standings.

But it’s tight with Charlie Austin’s Goat Racing just three points behind on 242 the consistent Team talkSPORT in third on 232.

Rab Havlin won the first for Team Newmarket Red on 12-1 Autumn Flight before Turner took the second.

The bang in-form Jack Mitchell won the next for Team talkSPORT on 7-2 Dark Lion before Steward’s win on 4-1 Via Serendipity.

Hector Crouch took the penultimate race on 2-1 Champagne Piaff with claimer Georgia Dobie won the ‘lucky’ last on 11-1 Sword Beach.
