Fabinho’s wag Rebeca Tavares has two words for Alexis Sanchez after Inter Milan star sent off for lunge on Liverpool ace

FABINHO’S wife Rebeca Tavares was unimpressed with Alexis Sanchez’s lunge on her hubby as Liverpool faced Inter Milan earlier tonight.

The former Arsenal forward was handed his marching orders after being shown a second yellow card for his challenge on the Brazilian.

Inter had just scored to halve the deficit and make it 2-1 on aggregate through Lautaro Martinez’s brilliant 61st minute strike, before disaster struck.

Sanchez, 33, won the loose ball cleanly, before his follow through caught Fabinho on the ankle.

The 28-year-old was able to carry on and complete the 90 minutes, but Rebeca was still left fuming with Sanchez.

When the Chilean was sent off, she wrote on Twitter: “Bye Alexis ?

Inter’s ten men managed to beat Liverpool 1-0 on the night, but the Reds progress 2-1 on away goals.

Rebeca won’t be happy with Sanchez’s former manager Arsene Wenger‘s take on the red card incident.

Rebeca also used to be a footballer

Appearing on beIN Sports, the Frenchman, 72, said: “(It’s) Borderline between cheating and being clever.

“Fabinho on this foul was on the other side… he was cheating. He made more of it.”

Former footballer Rebeca is Fabinho’s biggest fan.

The pair reportedly began dating in 2013, before tying the knot two years later.

Rebeca signed for Monaco during Fabinho’s stint with the Ligue 1 side, but called time on her playing career after his departure for Liverpool.

And she appears to have no regrets, having tweeted in 2019: “For me to watch Fabs playing in this level, it’s like my dream came true but in his feet.”
