Tyson Fury accused of holding up Saudi tournament by Usyk’s team with Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder on board

TYSON FURY is the only fighter holding up the potential four-man tournament from happening in December, claims Oleksandr Usyk’s manager.

Talks have been going on for weeks for Saudi Arabia to host a mega night of boxing that would shake-up the heavyweight division.

Tyson Fury is the one allegedly holding up talks for the mega night in Saudi

The landmark event would see Anthony Joshua battle Deontay Wilder before Fury and Usyk go one-on-one to unify the titles.

Both AJ and the Bronze Bomber have said they want to make it happen and have reportedly been easy to negotiate with.

However, Alex Krassyuk, who manages Usyk, says Fury’s “complex personality” has proven to be a major obstacle in the discussions.

Klismas told BT Sport Boxing: ““From my perspective and from my experience, AJ is not a very complicated person to deal with.

“Deontay Wilder and Shelley Finkel are very reasonable people … we got in touch with him a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 10 years and we had quite a long conversation.

“I don’t think it would be a big challenge for anyone to make a deal with him.”

He then added: “Oleksandr Usyk and his team are known to be the easiest people to deal with in the world of boxing.

“So there’s only one thing still pending and it’s a complex personality who goes back and forth, playing his games to try and squeeze as much money as possible. That was the reason why Usyk called him greedy belly!”

Both Krassyuk and Joshua’s Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn have confirmed talks for the four-man tournament have taken place.

But the Gypsy King blasted them on Instagram: “I can confirm that these rumours are absolute bulls***.”

Fury has since been linked to a return to the ring against Andy Ruiz Jr on July 22, although no confirmation has yet been made.

Usyk, who is expected to face Daniel Dubois next, saw talks collapse to fight Fury on April 29.

Krassyuk added that he feels the Brit is making a huge mistake in not taking on the Ukrainian as he added that discussions with Dubois’ chief George Warren have started.

He added: “Yes he is the champion and yes he has the right to do things that he wants to do, but at the end of the day he is a professional boxer and his main assignment is to perform for the boxing fans.

“That’s why I think that if this fight does not take place it would be one of the biggest mistakes Tyson Fury could make in his career.”

Boxing’s fundamental skills are:

  • Punching techniques
  • Guarding techniques
  • Footwork
  • Stance
  • Move your body
  • Defense
  • Combination
  • Rotation
  • Spares

Punching Techniques

There are seven types of punches available: Left Hook and Right Hook, Cross, Cross, Straight, Underhand, Overhand, Cross, Straight, Cross, Straight, Cross, Straight, and Overhand. Each punch comes with its own technique. Some punches are more powerful than others. An uppercut, for instance, requires tremendous strength. A straight punch, on the other hand requires less power and is quicker than other punches.

There are also various punching combinations. These are combinations made up of several punches that can be used together to achieve one goal. A combination may contain several parts. An example of this is a left hook, followed by a right crossing. This will damage the opponent’s jaw.

Guard Techniques

A boxer protects himself by using his body. He does this using his legs and arms, elbows as well as hands, knees and feet.

Legs

Boxers must use their legs to defend themselves against kicks. He raises his leg when he is hit with a kick and then moves away from the opponent. To avoid being kicked on his side, he will bend his knees if the attack is from the front. However, if the attack comes from behind, he stands up straight and blocks the kick with his foot.

Elbows

Because they cause great pain, elbow strikes are extremely effective. An elbow strike may be delivered directly or in an indirect manner. Directly means that you hit your opponent with your forearm while indirectly means that you hit him with another part of your arm.

Hands

Boxers use both their hands and arms to prevent incoming blows. To do so, they raise their fists above their head and move them towards the direction of the attack. They then make contact with their attacker’s fist.

Knees

A boxer should bend his knees in order to absorb any blows to his stomach, abdomen, chest or stomach. For defense purposes, knee strikes are common.

Feet

If he is being attacked, a boxer must take a step back and counter-attack. This will allow him to gain distance from his opponent. Boxers should also keep their balance when counter-attacking.

Stances

To box effectively, a boxer must establish a stance. The way he defends him will be dictated by his stance. It is how he positions himself and where he faces the opponent. Boxers can take many different stances. These are some of our most favorite:

  • A low stance
  • High stance
  • Southpaw stance
  • Western stance

The Body Movement

Boxers must maneuver around their opponent to win fights. This requires changing your position, speed, and rhythm.

Rotation

A boxer will rotate his arm when he is throwing a punch. Depending on the type and size of punch, the speed at which the rotation takes place varies.

Combinations

Timing of each punch is crucial to the effectiveness of a combination. A combination is good if it starts with a strong punch then ends with a weaker one.

Sparring

Sparring is a practice session designed to improve boxing skills . During sparring sessions, a boxer trains his mind as well as his body. Sparring, in conclusion, is about learning how to fight and not getting hurt.

Learning to box takes dedication and patience. Boxing is a sport that requires dedication and perseverance.
