Asia Cup star and Pakistan cricket captain, Babar Azam, was caught on camera looking dismayed after being pulled over by traffic cops for allegedly speeding in his Audi A5 Sportback sedan. The encounter went viral, with the cricketer pictured in flip flops, sports shorts, and aviators.
Fined for Violation
According to reports, Azam was fined Rs2,000 [£20] for the violation, which also included driving without a valid driver's license. This incident follows previous reports of the cricket sensation driving without proper license plates but escaping punishment.
Asia Cup Criticism and World Cup Tournament
Azam's road violation comes after heavy criticism of his team's losses against India and Sri Lanka at the 2023 Asia Cup. Despite failing to qualify for the final and finishing at the bottom of the Super Four stage, Azam will be leading the Pakistani team into the 2023 ICC World Cup tournament, set to be held in India next month.
