Watch England cricket fan propose to girlfriend on live TV during Pakistan T20… as Sky Sports give it graphics treatment

A CRICKET fan proposed to his girlfriend live on TV during England’s T20 decider with Pakistan -as on-screen graphics spiralled up the tension.

Sky Sports added all the bells and wickets to the occasion as a full house of 22,000 at Old Trafford were spellbound by TWO cliff-hangers.

Jill says ‘yes’ after Phil got down on one knee in front of a riveted Old Trafford

David Willey and Chris Jordan were later equally joyous as they celebrated clinching England’s thrilling win in the series decider

Midway through England’s nail-biting, series-clinching win, a man identified by Sky as “Phil” went through his own drama as he went down on one knee to “Jill”.

Cult commentator David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd pounced on the grand stand gesture as TV cameras spotted the couple smiling and chatting.

Phil then got up, took off his white sun-hat and stooped to the floor – as Jill cottoned-on open-mouthed, before covering her face with her hand in shock.

Bumble said: “Oh, hello! What’s happening here?

“Oh,  not another! Not another!. Oh, big screen as well. Jill and Phil, Jill and Phil -, decision pending.”

Jill nodded her head repeatedly to accept, mouthing “I love you”.

The crowd viewing the TV monitors roared their approval while Bumble cried out@

Bumble roared out: “Ohhhhh! She said yes!”

The couple’s pal shares their delight after Jill accepted Phil’s marriage proposal during England’s T20 cricket game with Pakistan on Tuesday

A man in an England football kit next to the couple looked on gasping in surprise when he realised Phil was proposing.

And he ‘spoke’ for the audience when he responded to her affirmative reply by pumping his fist up as if the Three Lions had won the Euros.

It’s the second proposal Bumble has overseen from the commentary box.

And his final delivery on the story rounded things off nicely.

He said: “There’s a great backstory to it – they’re a great couple.

“They’ve been cooking for the NHS and the emergency services.”

And as they prepared for wedlock, they then saw an end to the cricket deadlock as England scraped home in a thriller with three balls remaining.
