DENMARK fans took over Amsterdam today ahead of their highly-anticipated clash with Wales in the first of Euro 2020’s last-16 ties.
The travelling Dragons supporters meanwhile were greatly outnumbered after they were blocked from following Gareth Bale and Co from their group-stage heroics in Baku to the Netherlands.
SunSport revealed that the last-16 tie – which kicks off at the Johan Cruyff Arena – favours the Danes due to coronavirus travel guidelines.
Neither the UK nor Denmark is listed as a ‘safe’ country by the Netherlands’ Covid rules but, as a Schengen area nation, Danes were told they can exploit a loophole to watch the match.
Wales supporters have been told that they will not be allowed into the Dutch capital and would have to make do watching from home.
And the ticket allocation originally destined for their Welsh rivals was instead handed over to bolster their support.

Denmark fans flooded Rembrandtplein square in Amsterdam all decked out in their country’s colours with shirts, scarves and hats.
Many enjoyed the weather with pints while others with small children flopped onto the lawn hours before kick-off.
Several Denmark supporters also sported Christian Eriksen’s No10 kit as they queued to get into Ajax’s home stadium.
The midfielder, 29, collapsed in the first-half of his nation’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Eriksen underwent an operation to fit a ‘heart-starting’ device called an ICD to help prevent future problems.
Later that week, the Inter Milan ace was discharged from hospital in a major boost.
And Eriksen even visited his Denmark pals at training ahead of their last-16 showdown with Wales.
