£97m Chelsea flop Mykhailo Mudryk benched by Ukraine for huge Euro 2024 qualifying clash

The highly-paid winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been dropped from the Ukraine squad ahead of their crucial Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy.

Mudryk, who was signed by Chelsea for a staggering £97million, has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge since Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager in the summer.

Now, the former Shakhtar Donetsk star has suffered another blow as he has been axed from the Ukraine national team for their important match against Italy.

Ukraine, who were previously leading Group C, entered the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza three points ahead of Italy, who still have a game in hand.
