Chelsea join Jude Bellingham transfer hunt with Thomas Tuchel looking to raid old club Dortmund for midfielder

CHELSEA have reportedly joined the race to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham in 2023.

The England international, 18, is highly sought after having established himself as one of the world’s top talents at Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham could be on the move in 2023

But the teenager won’t be on the move this summer after vowing to remain at the German side to continue his development.

That hasn’t stopped clubs from looking to secure his services next year with Liverpool putting him at the top of their wishlist.

And the Reds believe that Kalvin Phillips’ proposed switch to Manchester City will see them nab the ex-Birmingham ace.

Spanish champions Real Madrid are also in the running to land Bellingham after making him their No1 target for 2023.

But according to AS, the 2022 Champions League finalists face competition from Chelsea in the race to sign the player.

It has been stated that like Real and Liverpool, there is a “special intention” from the Blues to bring Bellingham to Stamford Bridge.

They state that both Chelsea and the Reds know that nabbing Bellingham would be huge for their brand and image.

Though it has been said that he won’t come cheap, as BVB will only entertain offers in the region of £85million.

That could be a problem for Los Blancos, with it claimed that they are only willing to fork out up to £77m.

But with pressure from Chelsea and Liverpool, Real know they must pay top dollar to secure their main target.

The Spanish side want to bring him in next year to play alongside new signing Aurelien Tchouameni, 22, who has recently joined from Monaco.

Real see both forming part of a new-look midfield alongside current propsects Eduardo Camavinga, 19, and Federico Valverde, 23.
