Manchester United's bid to loan Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has been rejected, according to reports.

The 27-year-old Amrabat expressed his desire to join the Red Devils and reunite with his former manager Erik ten Hag, who had coached him during his time at Utrecht.

Loan Bid Hindered by Financial Fair Play
However, United's late transfer window strategy has been impacted by the collapsed £30 million move of Harry Maguire to West Ham, leaving them unable to make an offer due to Financial Fair Play restrictions.
In an attempt to get around these restrictions, United made a loan bid for the World Cup star.
Fiorentina Rejects Offer
Unfortunately for Amrabat, Fiorentina has turned down United's approach, as reported by journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
Instead, it seems that Amrabat could be headed to Nottingham Forest, as the club's £17 million offer has been accepted. However, the player is said to have rejected the move.
This leaves Amrabat's future uncertain with the deadline looming on Friday.
Financial Constraints on United
Unless United can offload players in the next 48 hours, a permanent move for Amrabat will be difficult due to financial constraints.
One player who could be leaving is Dean Henderson, who is close to sealing a £20 million transfer to Crystal Palace.
United plans to replace Henderson with Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce in a deal worth £4.25 million.
Defensive Crisis
Additionally, injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have left United searching for a new left-sided defender.
While several targets have been considered, the favorite to solve their defensive crisis seems to be Marc Cucurella, who is likely to join Old Trafford.
