Ian Wright looks exhausted as Arsenal legend trains for ‘comeback’ at 58 after being taunted by Stoke star grandson

ARSENAL icon Ian Wright has started a sensational comeback, he joked online.

The Match of the Day pundit posted in response to grandson D’Margio Wright-Phillips, 20, who claimed he is a ‘better finisher’.

Ex-Arsenal hot shot Wright joked that he was training for a comeback

The TV pundit hit back at his grandson who said he was a ‘better finisher’

Wright-Phillips said: “With my grandad, I’d say I think I’ve got better finishing than him.”

That sparked the ex-Gunners striker to tweet photos of himself in the gym looking exhausted with a towel over his head.

Wrighty also wrote the message: “Dmarg said he’s a better finisher so the come back starts now.”

He was training in a t-shirt with Arsenal and England legend Kelly Smith printed on the front.

D’Margio signed for Stoke City last year and made his full debut in January.

He took part in the FA Cup win over Leyton Orient in and has made five Championship appearances since.

Grandad Ian, now 58, was on the Match of the Day set when D’Margio scored his debut goal for the Potters.

He needed just 90 seconds to find the back of the net against leaders Fulham.

Grandson D’Margio has played five games with Championship side Stoke

D’Margio has a good football lineage with dad Shaun Wright-Phillips representing Chelsea, Man City and England.

His uncle Bradley Wright-Phillips also ran out for Man City, as well as spells at Southampton and Charlton before moving to MLS.

He holds the New York Red Bulls record for most goals ever scored for the club.

Meanwhile, Ian’s old side have been slammed for hiking ticket prices once again at the Emirates Stadium.
