Sergio Ramos immediately rules out joining Barcelona or Sevilla after Real Madrid exit in Premier League transfer boost

SERGIO RAMOS has immediately ruled out moving to Sevilla or Barcelona, following his Real Madrid exit.

The defender will leave the Bernabeu for good at the end of this month after 16 years of service.

The Spaniard started his career with Sevilla

Ramos, 35, has not yet revealed his next destination.

But he has poured cold water on potential transfers within LaLiga.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, he said: “I’m not joining Sevilla, this is not even an option.

“Barcelona? Impossible. You’ll never see me at Barca.

“I don’t know which club I’m joining yet.

“When I’ll know, I’ll be the first to announce it. It’s not time to talk about my future.”

As well as the LaLiga giants, Ramos has also been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United and Manchester City are long-term admirers.

If it were up to Ramos, however, he’d be staying in Madrid.

He admitted at his teary exit press conference: “The offer was accepted but it had a use-by date.

“They informed us a week ago that the offer had run-out.

“I don’t know why it had an expiry date.

“Maybe I interpreted it wrongly or I didn’t understand it but no one told me.”

He then added: “There has been the occasional call from interested clubs.

“We will start the search now.”

Ramos leaves Madrid having made 671 appearances for Los Blancos, also scoring an astonishing 101 goals from defence, in addition to 40 assists.

He won five LaLiga titles and four Champions Leagues, in addition to the World Cup and two European Championships with Spain.
