Steven Gerrard is wanted by Al-Ettifaq

Gerrard, 43, has worked as a pundit for BT Sport this season but now appears ready to get back into management.

And he is considering the offer put to him by Al-Ettifaq, according to L’Equipe.

The Saudi Arabian league has pushed to make high profile incoming this season with Karim Benzema joining Al-Ittihad, possibly to be joined by Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

Gerrard could also be swayed by a lucrative offer, though he still has options in the UK to choose from.

SunSport revealed he is on Leicester’s shortlist to take over from Dean Smith.

He has also been tipped to join Leeds for what could be his first job in the Championship.

Gerrard’s previous managerial experience came with Liverpool Under-23s and Rangers.

He had a very successful stint at Ibrox that included leading the club to their first Scottish Premier League title for ten years.
