Francesco Molinari kicked up a stink as he teed off at The Open

But the 40-year-old hit the headlines earlier for all the wrong reasons.

Molinari was caught by a course microphone FARTING during his opening tee shot.

He stepped up to the tee on the first hole and produced a swing that drove his ball down the fairway.

However, just as he made contact, he amazingly let rip.

The microphone caught the massive fart, and it left fans on social media in stitches.

“Let’s hope he didn’t have problems with his follow through,” tweeted one fan.

Another joked that he had “A little extra fire power off the tee” as a fellow viewer wrote:  “Put everything he had into it.”

Another tweeted: “Was the applause for the fart or the shot?”

While a fellow golf supporter wrote: “Some gusty winds over there in Hoylake.”

Molinari finished up day one two over par.

And after that frustrating opening, they carried over on to day two as he finished up his second round +4, leaving him at 6+.

That means that he will miss the cut at Royal Liverpool.

How To

How can I improve my putting ability?

There are many things that you can do to improve your putting skills. You should first get good instruction from someone who is experienced. If you don’t know anyone who’s willing to give you lessons, then check out our article about how to find golf instructors. Once you’ve found someone that you like, make sure to ask if they offer private lessons. To avoid conflicts between lessons, you’ll need to review their schedule.

You can rent clubs from a pro shop if you are looking for a place to play golf.

Once you have received some instruction, it is time to begin practicing. You can do this in two ways. One option is to purchase a set putters and use them to practice hitting balls into holes. This is great because you can use different types of putters (long irons, mid irons, wedges) depending on which type of shots you feel most comfortable with. But, unless your equipment is expensive, you will not be able practice enough to improve your putting skills.

You can also practice online by playing mini games. Some websites let you play against players from around the globe, while others allow you to just practice your short game. Putt-Putt is a game where you need to hit a ball in a hole. TopGolf is another site, as well as StrokePlay or Wii Sports Club.

Once you’ve practiced enough times, you can move to the next phase of improving you putting game. This would be improving your technique. To do this, you’ll want to work on three areas of your putting stroke: stance, grip, and alignment.

Stance refers to how far back you stand when you address the ball. One common mistake made by beginners is to stand too close. To avoid glancing at the ball, keep your body far away until you move forward. Your feet must be about shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent.

You should have your hands open and relaxed. You shouldn’t clench your fists or hold anything else in front of your chest. Instead, put your hands on your shoulders.

Your arms should remain straight but not locked down. Throughout the entire putting stroke, your arms should remain straight.

Alignment refers simply to the angle at which your hips rotate while you swing through the shot. People tend to rotate their hips too often, which makes it difficult for them to align correctly. Your knees may bend slightly when you are aiming for the target. Your hips will turn towards the target as you swing through the shot.

Grip refers the position of your fingers on a clubface. Many people have difficulty grasping the club properly. Your index finger should be placed on the bottom edge, and your middle finger on the top. Your ring finger should be placed on the side of the shaft, while your pinky finger should be positioned above the line of the handle .

Another option is to buy a new putter. A new model might help your game, even though all putters don’t work the same.
