Arc de Triomphe: Love taken OUT of the Arc by trainer Aidan O’Brien due to heavy ground at Longchamp

LOVE has been taken out of the Arc by trainer Aidan O’Brien.

She had been the second favourite for Sunday’s big race but had drifted markedly in the lead-up due to heavy ground at Longchamp.

Love was available at 4-1 not long after being the 13-8 favourite for Sunday’s race

Only until recently had she not been the strong antepost favourite for the Group 1 after her Guineas, Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks victories.

But as the rain fell in France, doubts emerged about her participation and John Gosden’s superstar mare Enable was shortened into the jolly.

Paddy Power shortened Enable into 11-8 with Love’s stablemate Serpentine – after being supplemented yesterday – now an 11-1 poke.
