Can anything stop Kyprios? Horse who broke Stradivarius’ heart all the rage to smash rivals in Irish St Leger

UNSTOPPABLE Kyprios is all the rage to keep his incredible winning streak going on Sunday.

Aidan O’Brien’s superstar stayer has twice broken the heart of big rival Stradivarius this season.

Kyprios has turned into a winning machine for trainer O’Brien and jockey Moore

He saw him off in an absolute thriller at Goodwood in July before benefitting from Frankie Dettori’s infamous ride in the Gold Cup at Ascot.

Kyprios ran out a half-length winner over Mojo Star that day, with John Gosden’s hero back in third.

In truth, Kyprios has looked nigh-on untouchable since then, despite some harbouring reservations about just how good he is.

Those doubts look to have been totally quashed ahead of the weekend – at least going by the bookies.

Coral have the four-year-old colt 4-7 to win the Comer Group International Irish St Leger at the Curragh.

Bookie spokesman David Stevens said: “Kyprios heads Coral’s betting for Sunday’s Comer Group International Irish St Leger at 4-7, in our opening show on the Curragh Group One.

“Raise You is his nearest market rival at 6-1, ahead of Hamish at 7-1.”

Kyprios would need to be supplemented for next month’s Arc.

And he is all but certain not to run anyway, with 1m4f surely too short for him.

A routine win this weekend could pave the way to Ascot and a potential showdown with Strad and Trueshan on Champions Day.

Trueshan – massive fav for the Doncaster Cup Stakes on Friday – is currently 2-1 fav for the Ascot blockbuster on October 15.

Kyprios is 7-2 with Stradivarius 13-2.
