Frankie Dettori: The boss has done just the trick on this 14-1 shot and I fancy her chances at a price at Doncaster

IT was great to be at Donny yesterday and I’ve got two nice rides this afternoon.

First I am on two-year-old GALERON (2.00) for Charlie Hills.

Dettori likes his chances on two horses dismissed by the bookies on Thursday

The colt has been highly tried since winning his maiden but hasn’t been disgraced in Group races at Glorious Goodwood and York’s Ebor Festival and Charlie clearly holds him in high regard.

He finished halfway down the field in what looked a good renewal of the Gimcrack.

The likely favourite today Cold Case was in front of Galeron in that race so we have a bit to find but this galloping track will suit.

I’m hoping we can get our hands on some of the prize money here which goes all the way down to tenth.

These sales races are hard to win and there are plenty in with a chance but my lad should have a shot.

He’ll be a big enough price and hopefully he can reward each-way punters.

I’m not riding in the next, the Group 2 May Hill, but I was hugely impressed by Dance In The Grass (2.35) when she won at Sandown and she stayed on well.

The form of that win has been franked and she will take all the beating.

Frankness was also a good winner at Chester but it is hard to evaluate the strength of the form and Ferrari Queen could give the favourite more to do.

She was second to a very good horse — Victory Dance — at Newbury and, if anything, that is the pick of all the form lines.

I’m back on MIMIKYU (3.10) in the Group 2 Park Hill Stakes.

Whisper it but I first won this race back in 1993 on Anna Of Saxony for John Gosden. And we teamed up last year to win with Free Wind so we have form.

Like my other ride today Mimikyu will be a double-figure price with all the talk about Eshaada.

I rode Mimikyu at York last time and I was caught wide on her with no cover and she was keen.

That meant she didn’t finish her race off well but the boss has put the headgear on her today to try and let her settle better.

If it does the trick she will run a big race.

As for the step-up in trip, everything in her pedigree suggests this will be up her street.

Eshaada is the pick on form after her Fillies’ & Mares win on Champions’ Day at Ascot last season.

And she ran with a lot of credit in the Lancashire Oaks when things didn’t go her way.

She is a worthy favourite but I a ride a lot for Ralph Beckett and I know he likes Yesyes.

Her fourth in the Lillie Langtry was a good run and she stays well.
