Jockey Defies Gravity in Incredible Mission Impossible-Style Stunt

A jockey in the US pulled off a jaw-dropping stunt resembling something out of a Mission Impossible movie. Abel Lezcano was racing on Christmas Present at Hawthorne in Chicago when disaster struck – his right stirrup broke mid-race.

Astonishing Maneuver

Most jockeys would find themselves unable to stay on at race speed in such a situation, but Lezcano had other ideas. As he disappeared from view, the camera angle changed, revealing that he was still clinging to his mount, defying gravity in the process.

Observers couldn't believe their eyes as it seemed only a matter of time before he hit the ground. However, against all odds, Lezcano managed to shimmy his way back into the saddle, impressing everyone with his incredible strength and athleticism.

Potential Movie Cameo?

Lezcano's feat was so astonishing that some are suggesting he deserves a cameo in the final Mission Impossible film. The jockey expressed his relief on Twitter, stating, "Thank God I'm only sore but glad I didn't fall or hurt anybody. By the grace of the Lord I'm here and I will continue working hard."

Fans and industry insiders were equally amazed by Lezcano's incredible display. One punter remarked, "You want pure athleticism, this is it right here!" Another joked, "Tom Cruise is going to make a horse racing movie now just so he can perform this death-defying stunt himself."

Lezcano has been riding since 2003 and has an impressive record of 448 career wins. In 2016, he won a Grade 2 race on Nancy From Nairobi, adding to his total earnings of over £11million.
