My horse pulls off incredible win, but let’s talk about the challenges of evening meetings and unpredictable weather

It's time to spill the tea on my recent horse racing success, but before we dive into that, can we talk about the logistical nightmare of evening meetings? I mean, who wants to go to Wolverhampton on a Sunday night? The prize money may be great, but it's tough on us trainers and our hardworking stable staff. And let's not forget who's footing the bill for those late nights. Hint: it's not the racing people.

Now, let's address the elephant in the room – the weather. It's really pushing our buttons now. I had some exciting prospects lined up for Sandown today, but thanks to Mother Nature, they'll have to be rerouted. Wincanton is also on shaky ground, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the green light. Despite the obstacles, I've still got a couple of strong contenders.

Golden oldie and swamp-like conditions

First up, we have ANGEL'S DREAM (2.05) who has been knocking on the door of victory this season. The muddy conditions won't bother this tough competitor, so I'm hoping he can finally get that well-deserved win. And let's not forget about my trusty veteran ICONIC MUDDLE (2.40). He may be entering the grandad stage of his career, but he's still got plenty of fight left in him. I won't be surprised if he needs a warm-up race, but mark my words, there are more wins in his future.

A horse with something to prove

Now, let's talk about CEPHALUS (5.00) who's been making waves after a stunning win last time. This horse had some impressive form under Charlie Hills but seemed to lose his mojo. However, he's back on track and ready to prove himself under my training. Trust me, there's nothing fancy about it – just a well-handicapped horse finding his stride again.

A positive update on Jamie

Before I sign off, I have some great news about my son Jamie. He's on the road to recovery and looking forward to getting back in the saddle. His neckbrace came off on Thursday, and pending a concussion test, he'll be back doing what he loves. Keep an eye out for this talented jockey.

So there you have it, folks. Despite the challenges of evening meetings and unpredictable weather, the world of horse racing never fails to keep us on our toes. Until next time, good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.
