PUNTERS DISAPPOINTED AS ANOTHER TOP HORSE, VADENI, IS RETIRED AND SENT TO STUD AFTER A GLITTERING CAREER

Punters have been left devastated by the news that yet another top racehorse has been retired. Vadeni, the former Coral-Eclipse hero and champion three-year-old, has been sent to Haras de Bonneval stud at the age of four. This marks the fourth top-class horse to retire in just 54 days.

Impressive Career

Vadeni, owned by the Aga Khan, won five races out of eleven and collected a staggering £2.3 million in prize money during his racing career. His most significant victory came in the Prix du Jockey Club, and he finished second in last year's Arc. Although he had two runs this season, his disappointing performance in the Irish Gold Cup at the Curragh last May led to the decision to retire him.

A Stellar Horse

Vadeni's transfer to Haras de Bonneval stud has been met with excitement. Georges Rimaud, manager for the Aga Khan Studs in France, expressed his delight in having Vadeni join the team at the stud, stating that he came with an exciting profile. Rimaud praised Vadeni for his outstanding performances, including a record-breaking victory in the Prix du Jockey Club and excellent placements in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Irish Champion Stakes.

Furthermore, Rimaud highlighted Vadeni's exceptional pedigree, being bred from the successful cross of Galileo and Monsun.

Disappointed Punters

News of Vadeni's retirement has left punters disappointed, with many taking to social media to express their sadness. One online commentator described Vadeni as a "brilliant horse," while another expressed concern about the decreasing number of good older horses.

Vadeni's retirement comes just a day after Charlie Appleby announced the end of Modern Games' racing career, making Vadeni the fourth Godolphin horse to retire in only 53 days.
