Red-hot Ryan Moore reveals his top rides for Goodwood on Thursday including mindblowing 150-1 Derby runner-up

RYAN MOORE has been in typically brilliant form already at Glorious Goodwood.

A scintillating win on Kyprios was the highlight of day one – and he has a strong book of rides for day two.

Moore will be on shock 150-1 Derby runner-up Hoo Ya Mal on Thursday

But here, Aidan O’Brien’s No1 goes through his mounts on Thursday courtesy of Betfair.

13:50 Goodwood

Migdam

He is nicely-bred colt – and an impressive winner of two races at Kempton last season – and he again did it well when winning over 1m2f at Doncaster last time.

He went up 6lb for it but the third has won since, and the way he finished his off race suggests he is competitively weighted off his revised mark.

We had the option of 1m4f for him on Wednesday, but we stick to 1m2f for the time being.

He should go well, but there are a few in here to be worried about, including Vee Sight.

14:25 Goodwood

Swift Asset

He is rated 86, and actually had the option of a nursery here on Friday, but they have decided to be bold and go for this Group 2.

He clearly needs to improve a good deal to even get in the places but he followed up his Windsor win with a good sixth in the sales race at Newbury, so hopefully there is more to come from him.

15:00 Goodwood

Hoo Ya Mal

He clearly has the best form courtesy of his Derby second, and you can’t see him going backwards for his new trainer, though the first-time tongue-tie is an interesting addition.

However, New London could prove a tough opponent as I thought he was very impressive when winning at Newmarket, albeit from a mark of 99 in handicap company.

15:35 Goodwood

Concert Hall

Nashwa is probably the one to beat in here but she is not dominant from a form perspective, as you can give a few a chance, maybe chiefly among Dreamloper, Lilac Road and my filly.

She was only 1 ¼ lengths behind Nashwa when fourth in the Oaks and she has occupied the same position in her two races since, most recently when running well from the widest draw at Belmont last time.

Hopefully, the cheekpieces can bring about some improvement and I’d say she has a fair chance.

16:10 Goodwood

True Statesman

He is progressing well and won easily at Chester last time, and the obvious question is whether he can defy an 8lb rise in a deeper race.

But you have to be positive about his chance.

17:20 Goodwood

Luckin Brew

It could be tricky from her draw in 18 here but she shaped well when second to a well-backed newcomer at Newmarket and she is another with a decent chance in what is clearly a very competitive big-field maiden.
