Sky Sports Racing Presenter Apologizes for Bikini Selfie Stir

Sky Sports Racing presenter, Kate Tracey, found herself in hot water after fans noticed a controversial detail in her recent bikini bathroom selfie. While enjoying her summer holidays, Tracey posted the photo on Twitter, but it was her choice of headwear that sparked a reaction. Wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, some punters took exception. In response, Tracey humorously apologized, saying, "I can only apologize."

A Taste for Controversy

Tracey, a popular figure among punters on Sky Sports Racing, is known for her expertise in the racing world. However, it seems her taste in fashion accessories caused a stir among some fans. While some followers didn't mind her choice of cap, others were triggered by it. Tracey defended herself, stating, "I didn't realize it was this triggering for some."

A Journey into Racing

Tracey's path to becoming a presenter on the Sky Racing channel was unexpected. In an interview, she revealed that her first-ever race meeting at Worcester in August 1999 was less than ideal. The dreary weather and lackluster racing didn't dampen her spirits, though. She fondly recalled an incident involving a loose horse named Red Radish, which caused a significant delay. Despite the circumstances, Tracey and her dad stayed until the bitter end. From that moment on, she knew her future was in horse racing.

With her racing knowledge and experience working for trainers such as Polly Gundry and Philip Hobbs, Tracey brings a wealth of expertise to her TV role. In addition to her work on Sky Sports Racing, she also hosts the tipping show Weekend Winners and fronts William Hill's coverage of the Racing League.

While her bikini selfie may have drummed up some controversy, it's clear that Tracey's passion for the sport remains unwavering.
