TOP French jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot is the subject of a new sexual complaint, according to reports.
Respected newspaper LeParisien say Boudot, 28, had a complaint filed against him at a French police station on February 19.
Boudot’s lawyer claims the jockey, a former Arc de Triomphe winner, has been the target of ‘threats’ for a year.
Boudot denied a separate allegation of rape in January 2020.
The world-renowned jockey, who has won nearly 1,000 races, addressed the latest allegations in a Twitter post.
In the message, translated from French, he claimed: “I’m not surprised. I was threatened by the complainant’s family.
“Those who testified for me were harassed. Others pushed for a new complaint to be brought against me.
“I have absolutely nothing to reproach myself with.”
Boudot’s lawyer, Florence Gaudilliere, said: “My client has been the subject of threats for a year.
“We will demonstrate the innocence of Pierre-Charles Boudot.”
Gaudilliere represented Boudot last year for an inquiry related to events in 2015 that concerned Boudot and a then-19-year-old.
France Galop, who run racing in France, released a statement in light of the latest allegations.
The statement, translated from French, read: “Justice must prevail rather than any comment. For racing’s image, it is never pleasant to learn that one of the jockeys is involved in an affair like this.
“When it comes to the best active jockey, it makes more noise, but in this age of social networks and the media court, you have to let him do his job, as justice will do.”
