Tennis Bad Boy Nick Kyrgios Lands Surprising New Job as Commentator

Tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios has secured a surprising new role at the sport's "most exclusive event." Instead of playing on the court, the controversial Australian will be speaking his mind as a commentator for The Tennis Channel.

Struggles with Injuries

Kyrgios, 28, is known for his on-court antics and putting on a show during his games. However, knee and wrist injuries have kept him out of action this year, forcing him to remain in the shadows. Despite reaching the Wimbledon final last year, he has been unable to participate in this year's Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon.

Commentating at the ATP Finals

Although Kyrgios may make a return to the Ultimate Tennis Showdown event in December, fans won't have to wait until then to see him in action. From November 12 to 19, Kyrgios will be working as a commentator and analyst for The Tennis Channel at the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy. This prestigious event features the top eight singles players and doubles teams based on points earned during the 2023 season.

Excitement Surrounding Kyrgios' Broadcasting Debut

The Tennis Channel is thrilled to have Kyrgios on board and has released a statement expressing their excitement. They highlight Kyrgios' electric style of play and straight-to-the-point conversational approach, which has endeared him to millions of fans around the world.

It remains to be seen when Kyrgios will return to the court and engage in his infamous rows with umpires and fans, or his on-court racket-smashing. In June, he admitted to dreading his return and subsequently pulled out of the Wimbledon tournament despite initially stating that he was fit to play.
