WIMBLEDON prize money for the 2023 championships have been revealed with £44.7million set to be shared.
The cash handed out to all players has gone up 11.2 per cent.
Wimbledon singles champs will take home £2.35million this year
Novak Djokovic and Elena Rybakina will hope to retain their singles titles and if they can do so, both will pocket £2.35million each.
Runners-up will earn £1.2million.
That is 17.5 per cent more than the duo landed last year and sees the reward increase to the level seen before the pandemic.
It is also more than this year’s Australian and French Open were willing to give out.
The competition Down Under handed singles champions £1.7million and Roland Garros gave them £2million each.
There is also big money up for grabs at Wimbledon by just making the singles draw with losers in the opening round set to take home £55,000 each.
For players that don’t make the cut automatically, there is three rounds of qualifying and even losing in the opening round there means you will receive a check for £12,500.
Extra cash is also available for wheelchair tennis stars this year with singles winners getting £60,000.

Mixed doubles players see the smallest increase in pay with only a 3.2 per cent rise.
Wimbledon are set to reveal their wildcards next week and the main draw is set to be announced on June 30.
The tournament at SW19 will begin on July 3.
And the third Grand Slam of the year will end on July 16.
